The Community Servant

;

Germaine was born in a country where taking care of family and the community and creating opportunities out of limited resources was a way of life. That is why he believes that service to others for the betterment of humanity should be a way of life. After a depressive incident in 2004 left him with the bare minimum to survive, he felt like failure was the only option. However, he was persuaded by a different approach, the approach that success was the best revenge to debilitating events. After that 2004 event, he refocused and repositioned himself on the road to high scholastic achievement, service to the community and social change.

Germaine makes it a priority to dedicate his time to the service of others under the mission of various community service organizations. He provides support and participates in service opportunities offered by Habitat for Humanity, the Southern Center for Human Rights, Gate City Bar Association, March of Dimes, Atlanta Food Bank, Emerging 100 of Atlanta, and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. He also spent over a year helping low-income, disabled veterans obtain disability and financial benefits, and continues to serve as a mentor to disadvantaged youths while providing legal resources to help elderly individuals. He received numerous service awards for his service to the community, including the Rodney Pulliam Community Servant Award and the King and Spalding LLP Pro Bono Award.
